The Mariam Foundation proudly serves as a partner and member of the Gaza Health Initiative since its inception. Recently, it has established new partnerships with many local and global organizations to integrate its projects and efforts with those organizations working together to rebuild Gaza's healthcare sector.
The Gaza Health Initiative (GHI) is the world’s main initiative that is focused on rebuilding Gaza's devastated healthcare system, including hospitals, medical facilities, and staff training. Immediate measures include sending international health workers and addressing urgent care needs. Long-term goals involve sustainable recovery requiring over $15 billion and a decade of effort. The initiative highlights global collaboration through conferences and resource mobilization. It prioritizes comprehensive, coordinated support to restore healthcare access for Gaza's residents
We thank our ambassadors Dr. Omar Lattouf and Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri, Director of the Specialty Hospital in Amman and a member of the administrative committee for this initiative, for signing a memorandum of understanding with the Mariam Foundation to collaborate within this initiative to rebuild the healthcare sector in Gaza.
